What’s New for the 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLA

The Mercedes-Benz CLA is all-new for 2020 and drivers are sure to be excited for what’s to come in the new model year. After all, this is a new generation for the model, so there are bound to be some new features and changes to the 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLA, and we’ll explore those down below.

Of course, the overall design of the CLA four-door coupe is a significant difference from the previous model years, but we’ll let the photos do the talking for that. Some things to take note of, however, include the free-standing widescreen display and stretched exterior form.

2020 CLA Engine Specs

A new engine will power the CLA for 2020 and it’s going to provide plenty of thrills. It’s a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with a turbocharger.

With 221 horsepower, it increases horsepower output by 13 compared to the previous model year. In addition, the turbocharged engine delivers up to 258 lb-ft of torque. Better yet, it’s available at a low 1,800 – 4,000 rpm. This all pairs with the CLA’s lower center of gravity and wider track for enhanced driving dynamics.

New Tech in the 2020 CLA

The CLA features the innovative infotainment system from Mercedes-Benz that includes natural speed recognition and a new Touchpad. The whole system consists of a 7-inch Digital Instrument Cluster and a 7-inch Media Display with a touchscreen. The main display can be customized to suit your preferences, while other functions for comfort have been simplified through the system.

In addition, the CLA has an available full-color Head-Up Display. This allows key vehicle information, such as speed, to be projected on the windshield in front of you. It’s a lot like the cockpit of a fighter jet. This keeps your eyes more focused on the road while still getting the driving information you need.
